The Challenge runs from January 1, 2024 - December 31, 2024:

The inaugural challenge launched on January 1, 2022. It was really exciting to see people participating. We are diving deep into reading women in translation. The goal is to read 12 books written by women from 12 different countries. This gives us all the opportunity to try new authors and genres all while gaining a different perspective from countries we’re not familiar with.

How to Participate

  2. Join the challenge and track your reads on StoryGraph.

  3. Use the hashtag #12Women12Countries when you share the books you’re reading on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

  4. You can also track your reads privately and follow the hashtag #12Women12Countries on social media sites for book recommendations.
